Karen Cox Memorial Grants
Named for the late Karen Cox, one of Montana’s great teachers, these grants are not intended to replace school funds but rather to support teachers who dig into their own pockets to help their students succeed.
GRAMMY Museum’s Jane Ortner Education Award
Music’s educational power transcends school bands, choirs, and orchestras—it can be used as a learning tool in any classroom. The Jane Ortner Education Award celebrates K-12 teachers who integrate music into English language arts, social studies, math, science, and foreign language instruction.
Traditional Arts Touring
The Traditional Arts Touring Grant Program works to increase the public awareness, understanding and appreciation of the traditional arts in the South, through funding projects that bring a traditional artist/ensemble and a scholar/folklorist for multi-day residencies in Southern communities. This funding program is open to a wide variety of organizations, including community cultural organizations, schools/colleges/universities, libraries, museums, presenters, etc. The program serves both communities and traditional artists. Priority consideration is given to support new applicants and underserved communities.
Agricultural Leadership Grant
These grants are in support of leadership development activities for students already enrolled in agriculture courses at the Middle or High School level, in formal and informal education settings, providing these students with the skills to become future leaders in the agriculture and natural resources field. Grants are intended to support organized leadership programs rather than an individual student.
2019 Statewide Organization Grant
Funds may be used for events, materials and educational programs for students, educators and/or volunteers with a statewide impact. (This category is not designated for individual schools or school districts.)
Investing in Youth Grants
For new youth-led projects that benefit children from cradle to career in Northfield. Projects must help advance educational and social goals for children and youth. Funding is also available for projects that encourage the love of music for area youth.
2020 Excellence in Teaching Awards
To recognize exceptional efforts in the classroom. Awards will be given to teachers that have made a positive significant impact on an individual student or group or students.
The PRISM Award
Supports teachers in their efforts to promote excitement for science and mathematics in the classroom.
