Astronomical Society of the Pacific's Thomas J. Brennan Award

The Thomas J. Brennan Award of the ASP is given each year to an individual demonstrating excellence in the teaching of astronomy at the high school level in North America. The recipients will have demonstrated exceptional commitment to classroom or planetarium education, as well as the training of other teachers. This award is designed to honor the practicing high school astronomy teacher. Occasionally, an individual outside of the secondary classroom, judged to have had a significant impact on high school astronomy teaching, is selected for this award.
The Freedom Foundation's 43rd Annual Leavey Awards

Since 1977, Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge and the Thomas and Dorothy Leavey Foundation have honored outstanding teachers for bringing passion and creativity to their classrooms as they teach students about entrepreneurship and the free enterprise system.   The awards program recognizes educators at the elementary, junior high school, high school, and college levels. Up to 20 cash awards, valued at $7,500 each, are made annually valued. One meritorious award of $15,000 may be made for an outstanding entry. To date, the program has recognized more than 600 teachers from across the country and awarded over $4 million.  
Excellence in Teaching Grant

Agriculture and Food Research Initiative – Education and Workforce Development (AFRI EWD)

For education, research, and extension projects in the agricultural and food sciences.  Funding may be used for professional development, workforce training, undergraduate research and extension experiences, and postdoctoral fellowships.
AFCEA STEM Teacher Graduate Scholarships

The AFCEA Educational Foundation is offering competitive based scholarships of $2,500 each to students actively pursuing a graduate degree or credential/licensure for the purpose of teaching STEM (science, technology, engineering or math) subjects at a U.S. school in grades K-12.  The scholarships are made possible by generous contributions from ManTech International and AFCEA International.  
Artist Residency

The Division of the Arts has established three goals for Artist Residency grants: Actively engage students in the creative process with a professional artist Provide new arts knowledge and skills to classroom teachers and arts specialists Facilitate teaching opportunities for teaching artists Eligible schools may request funding for artist residencies that support visual, literary, performing or media artists working with students in the classroom under teacher supervision, or in professional development workshops with teachers. The focus of the artist’s activities should be on classroom learning or teacher workshops. A public assembly may be a component of the artist’s visit, but not the solitary purpose of the visit. In any case, the proposed arts education activity must be an integral part of the residency site’s regular standards-based curriculum or professional development plans for the organization.
TranspARTation Grants

The TranspARTation Grant supports travel costs to Delaware arts and cultural institutions and venues so that students may attend events, performances, and exhibits that have high-quality arts components. Eligible programs include the exhibition or presentation of guest artists or ensembles (not school shows or student groups).
State Assessments

This program is designed to support the development of the additional state assessments and standards. If a state has developed the assessments and standards, funds support the administration of those assessments or other activities related to ensuring that the state's schools and local education agencies (LEAs) are held accountable for results.
