2020 Governor's Young Artist Competition

Beginning January 1, 2020, high school students from across Arkansas are invited to submit ONLINE their drawings, paintings, prints and mixed media assemblages in conjunction with the 2020 competition theme, “The Home Within.” The collective goal of the competition is to inspire our state’s young artists by providing them with a platform for their work, which will be displayed at the Governor’s Mansion during April 2020. Awards and other recognition will be presented at the 2020 Awards Reception to be hosted by the Governor and Mrs. Hutchinson on Saturday, April 25, 2020, at the Governor’s Mansion.

2020 Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education (CLDE) Academy- Student Art Contest Theme: Who I Am

The Colorado Department of Education’s Office of Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education will award a K-5 student, a 6-8 grade student, and a 9-12 grade student in the “Who I Am” student art contest. The art competition highlights students’ artistic talents through fine art (including photography, digital media, sculpture, etc.). The winners’ work will be on the cover of the program of the annual CLDE Academy. The winners, their parents and entering teacher will also be invited and honored at the awards luncheon.   
Michigan Nature Association Field Trip Grant

The grants are intended to assist teachers in developing fun, educational, and hands-on field trips to help students learn about the natural environment. Eligible grant expenses include transportation, program and/or entry fees, and educational supplies. 
2020 National Youth Science Camp Delegates

Washington high school seniors are encouraged to submit an application to attend the 2020 National Youth Science Camp (NYSC). Two Washington high school seniors will be selected from the applicant pool to receive a scholarship to exchange ideas with scientists and other professionals from the academic and corporate worlds. The selected delegates must not only demonstrate academic achievement in science, but also show potential for thoughtful scientific leadership.
Astronomical Society of the Pacific's Thomas J. Brennan Award

The Thomas J. Brennan Award of the ASP is given each year to an individual demonstrating excellence in the teaching of astronomy at the high school level in North America. The recipients will have demonstrated exceptional commitment to classroom or planetarium education, as well as the training of other teachers. This award is designed to honor the practicing high school astronomy teacher. Occasionally, an individual outside of the secondary classroom, judged to have had a significant impact on high school astronomy teaching, is selected for this award.
The Freedom Foundation's 43rd Annual Leavey Awards

Since 1977, Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge and the Thomas and Dorothy Leavey Foundation have honored outstanding teachers for bringing passion and creativity to their classrooms as they teach students about entrepreneurship and the free enterprise system.   The awards program recognizes educators at the elementary, junior high school, high school, and college levels. Up to 20 cash awards, valued at $7,500 each, are made annually valued. One meritorious award of $15,000 may be made for an outstanding entry. To date, the program has recognized more than 600 teachers from across the country and awarded over $4 million.

KHF Project Grants

Assists teachers from Hawaii schools in pursuing environmental stewardship endeavors and advancing their environmental goals in the classroom. The Kōkua Hawaii Foundation offers financial assistance for schools which otherwise could not purchase items or services needed to reach these goals.
