Bostitch Creativity in the Classroom Grant
For creative classroom supplies. Applicants will be judged on a sample lesson plan that shows creativity, originality, and potential impact. Funding is intended to award and encourage classroom creativity, which helps foster individuality, expression, and creative thinking in students.
Partners in Arts Participation
To provide arts experiences to their constituents. Organizations must provide services for underserved populations. Funding is intended to expand opportunities for Minnesotans to participate in the arts.
To provide schools with assistance for transportation costs associated with visiting arts organizations.
Mini-Grants for Education
For classroom projects in communities where the funding source has a business presence. Examples of requests include field trips, literacy efforts, and incentives for student performance.
K-12 Classroom Teacher Grant for 2019
To incorporate aviation-themed lessons into their normal curriculum. Aviation and aerospace topics are the perfect adjunct for teaching science, math, history, and even art. Aviation and aerospace are topics that generate enthusiasm with all types of learners and all ages of students.
Empathy In Your Backyard
During the 2019 - 2020 school year, <a href="https://www.empatico.org/">Empatico</a> and the National Network of State Teachers of the Year (NNSTOY) have partnered to launch the third Empathy Challenge Fellowship. The topic of this fellowship is “Empathy in Your Backyard”, and guides students through service learning projects, including identifying challenges in their community, conducting research, and developing and implementing a solution. During their projects, students will also connect with a partner classroom in a different city or country through live video exchanges. Through these connections, students will share stories and insights, learn and understand life in a different community, provide support and encouragement to each other, and develop and practice key social skills.
Fast Track Project Grant Program
For arts and cultural projects. Funding is intended to support small organizations with more limited operating budgets and may be used for projects such as performances, artist residencies, and exhibitions.
To attend an annual literature workshop. Applicants will be evaluated on their ability to demonstrate their understanding of the importance of young adult literature, as well as how they intend to use young adults books and the resources they acquire at the workshop in their own classroom.
Grants for Teachers
For curriculum development, classroom supplies, or educational projects. Funding is intended for projects and supplies that will positively impact student learning. The winning teacher will also receive access to online classroom materials and teacher resources.
